Friday, June 16, 8:30-10:30pm
After a brief introduction where you can see and even handle real spiders, families will head out on a night walk with a headlamp to find, catch, and release wolf spiders. In the process, you will learn about spider biology, the adaptations spiders have to help them thrive during the night, and the importance of their conservation. It will be creepy, crawly fun for the entire family!
Pre-registration is required. Event takes place at Fairmont Park just southeast of downtown Manhattan, KS, across the Kansas River. Meet at the west parking lot. Please bring flashlights or headlamps and bug spray.
