Nature Explorers Jr.

Enjoy nature with us in the Outdoor Classroom! Get hands-on and up close to the true treasures of the Flint Hills.

Nature Explorers Jr. is a new program for youth ages 5-15 with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their caregivers.  Each session explores a fun environmental topic with this audience in mind.  We will explore nature in an environment that is kind, inclusive, and caring.

This program is free, but pre-registration is required under the youth’s name. Caregivers attend with participants. In the event of unfavorable weather, Nature Explorers Jr. will be moved indoors at the Discovery Center.

Pre-registration is required either online, by phone at 785-587-2726 or in person at the Flint Hills Discovery Center.
