Richardson, who lives in Lindsborg, Kansas, is an acclaimed National Geographic photographer whose work recounts life on the Great Plains of Kansas. His presentation will be a reflection on rural values and connection to landscape, by way of comparing rural Kansas with the Highlands and islands of Scotland. Richardson will argue that the power of human connections forged in shared adversity are universal, whether on the windblown Kansas prairie or the remote islands in the Outer Hebrides.
